New View Listserv

The New View Campaign began a New View Listserv in August, 2005.

Its purpose is to promote communication around the New View approach to sexuality, sexuality policy and politics, sex education and research, medicalization of sex, and sexual problems. The listserv will enable those committed to the New View perspective to keep abreast of relevant issues and stay in touch with each other.

By joining this listserv, you are in essence joining the New View campaign and expressing your endorsement of the Manifesto. You can read the Manifesto by clicking here.

Dr. Sandi Byers, Professor of Psychology at the University of New Brunswick, has set up the list on the UNB server. It will be unmoderated, with items posted by list members without evaluation.

Here are some examples of potential uses of the New View listserve:

1) Invitations to collaborate on research or publications with a New View perspective.

2) Announcements of sexuality advocacy events.

3) Announcements of print, web, and media resources.

4) Job and conference announcements.

5) Discussions of issues related to the New View perspective.

The New View listserv is not a general sexuality discussion group. If this is what you are looking for, we encourage you to look elsewhere, as there are many such resources available.

If you are interested in joining the listserv, please send a message with your name and email address to Rachel Liebert, New View Campaign Assistant. You will be asked to agree to the listserv guidelines before being added.
